When I began my pilot groups for my Thriving in the Profession of Motherhood workshops, I really wanted a song to use during session 4. That lesson talks about partnering with God in motherhood. However, I couldn’t find a song that expressed my thoughts.

So, I wrote one. It was definitely inspired. It came to me one night as I went up to my room after a long mom day. There were dishes waiting in the sink and laundry to fold, but all I wanted to do was go to bed. How could there still be so much work to do when I felt like I had been working all day long, yet with nothing to show for it? Or so I thought.

Then the lyrics started coming to my head. My eyes were opened to see that as I was serving my kids I was truly God’s hand on the earth. A mother’s love is God’s love!

This is a message I then wanted to share with all moms to remind them that they are involved in the greatest work on the earth- motherhood! I am thankful to the many people who helped and supported me to bring this song to life, especially my amazing husband and our talented singer Emily.
